An internal source at Tamil Nadu House confirmed the fire breakout, stating that it was caused by a gas leak. The fire was extinguished promptly, and the CM was not present at the time of the incident. He had already left for the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting.
CM's Schedule Unaffected
CM Vijay attended the 11th NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Press Trust of India shared a video of the CM leaving Tamil Nadu Bhavan earlier that day. The fire did not disrupt his schedule or cause any significant damage to the premises.
The source added that safety protocols were followed, and an investigation into the gas leak is underway. Authorities are ensuring that such incidents are prevented in the future.
