Five Arrested in Ganjam District for Petrol Bomb Attack Over Extortion Demand
Police in Ganjam district have made a significant breakthrough by arresting five persons from Bhubaneswar for allegedly carrying out a petrol bomb attack on a house in Chikiti Pentho. The incident, which occurred four days ago within the limits of the K. Nuagaon police station, was reportedly motivated by the homeowner's refusal to comply with an extortion demand for money.

According to police statements released on Friday, the accused individuals threw petrol bombs at the residence after the owner denied their demand for payment. Fortunately, no one was injured in the blasting of the bombs, but the front door of the house sustained damage as a result of the attack.
The swift police action led to the identification and arrest of the five suspects, who have been named as:
- Subham Panigrahy (20) of Kharanipada
- Kanhu Charan Sahu (21) of Chikiti Pentho
- Sarthak Patra (21) of Amundi
- Nilamani Patra (28) of Satrumardanapur
- Goutam Pradhan (27) of Medinipur in Ganjam district
