The Government Railway Police (GRP) detained five Bangladeshi nationals at Malda Town railway station on Saturday, according to reports from Subhro Maitra. The individuals had arrived from Delhi and Gujarat and were planning to enter Bangladesh through the Malda border, police officials confirmed.

The detainees are believed to be relatives of Bangladeshi nationals who were previously deported to their home country. They have been transferred to the English Bazar holding centre for further processing, as stated by Superintendent of Police (SP) Anupam Singh.

Identities of the Detained

The five individuals have been identified as Md Jiyarul, Guljar Mia, and Md Kurban from Kurigram, Muklesur Rahman from Lalmanirhat, and Sabir Ahmed from Sirajganj. Authorities are investigating their travel history and intentions.
