Five Family Members Perish in Devastating Highway Accident After Wedding Celebration
A joyous wedding celebration turned into unimaginable tragedy for a family from Ahmedabad when five of their members lost their lives in a horrific road accident early Saturday morning. The devastating crash occurred near Unava on the Unjha-Mehsana highway in Mehsana district, leaving the entire community in shock and mourning.
Return Journey Ends in Catastrophe
The Kumavat family was returning to Ahmedabad in a Maruti Eco car after attending a marriage ceremony in their native Pali district of Rajasthan. According to police reports, during the early morning hours, the driver reportedly lost control of the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to violently collide with the road divider with tremendous force.
The impact was so severe that the car overturned multiple times and became badly mangled, trapping the occupants inside. Emergency responders faced a challenging scene as they worked to extract the victims from the wreckage.
Immediate Fatalities and Hospital Tragedy
Four individuals—including two men, one woman, and a four-year-old child—were declared dead at the scene by medical personnel. The injured survivors were rushed to Mehsana Civil Hospital for emergency treatment, where a 75-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries during medical care.
The deceased have been identified as Ramlal Kumawat, Komal Kumawat, Kailash Kumawat, four-year-old Ayush Kumawat, and Mantharadevi Kumawat. Their sudden and tragic deaths have left a void in the lives of their loved ones and community.

The driver and five other passengers, including three women, are currently undergoing intensive medical treatment at the hospital.
