Five Police Teams Formed After Brazen Loot of Jeweler in Yamuna Nagar

In a shocking incident that has rattled the local business community, a jeweler was shot at and robbed of ornaments valued between Rs 4 to 5 lakh by three unidentified assailants on Monday night. The crime occurred near Goredeeh Canal Road in Yamuna Nagar, prompting a swift and significant response from the police department.

Senior police officials have confirmed the formation of five dedicated teams to crack the case and apprehend the culprits. DCP (Yamuna Nagar) Vivek Chandra Yadav informed that based on a complaint filed by the victim's family, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered. The FIR names one individual and includes two unknown persons.

The police action has already yielded a lead, with the person named in the FIR having been detained for questioning. Authorities revealed a possible motive, indicating that the victim, jeweler Chandan, had recently been involved in an argument with the detained individual.

The injured jeweler, Chandan, was immediately rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Police officials have stated that he is currently undergoing treatment and is in stable condition. The assailants, who were riding a motorcycle, executed the loot and fled the scene under the cover of night. The police teams are now scouring through evidence, including CCTV footage from the vicinity of Goredeeh Canal Road, to identify the two other unknown suspects and trace the escape route.
