Five Vandals Damage Four Vehicles in Pune's Lohegaon

Pune: A group of five unidentified vandals damaged three autorickshaws, a three-wheeler tempo, and a car at Kalwad Vasti in Lohegaon at around 1 am on Saturday. A case of mischief has been registered against the five suspects at the Lohegaon police station.

Complaint Filed

One of the autorickshaw owners, Bashalal Shaikh (38), lodged a complaint with the police. According to the police, the suspects used bricks and stones to smash the windshields of the vehicles. The vehicles were parked on a public road when the five men entered the area and allegedly vandalised them.

Motive Under Investigation

The exact motive behind the vandalism is yet to be ascertained. However, police suspect that the accused may have had a rivalry with a group of local youngsters and targeted the vehicles to send a message or settle scores.

Police are examining CCTV footage from the area to identify and trace the suspects.
