In a tragic incident in Chatra district, four persons were arrested on Tuesday for their alleged involvement in the lynching of a man who was wrongly suspected of being a child-lifter. The victim, identified as Rambali Rajwar, succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Monday morning, sparking outrage and a swift police response.
Details of the Incident and Victim
The deceased, Rambali Rajwar, was a 40-year-old resident of Barwatoli under the Ramgarh police station in Ramgarh district. According to police reports, he was assaulted by a mob at Chiraiyatand village, which falls under the Piparwar police station limits in Chatra district. Initial investigations revealed that Rambali Rajwar was originally brought to Mcluskieganj in Ranchi for epilepsy treatment but somehow ended up in Chatra, where he was brutally beaten by the mob based on unfounded suspicions.
