Margao: Fatorda police have registered a case against four individuals for allegedly chasing a car, smashing its window, and physically assaulting a minor boy in the early hours of Tuesday. The incident took place around 1:50 am at Borda, Fatorda, according to official reports.

Details of the Incident

The complainant, Anarkali Nadaf, a resident of Fatorda, stated that the accused chased her Swift car, forcibly stopped it, and wrongfully restrained her. The police identified the accused as Mayuraj Mhamal from Seraulim, along with Joyriel Luis, Neslino Da Silva, and Malrizz Rodrigues, all residents of Curtorim.

Sequence of Events

The four individuals, traveling as rider and pillion riders on a two-wheeler, confronted the car's occupants with a common intention. They allegedly hurled abuses and smashed the driver's side window of the vehicle. In a violent turn, they dragged the complainant's minor son out of the car and assaulted him, delivering slaps and fist blows to his face and right wrist. The minor sustained simple injuries during the attack. Before fleeing the scene, the accused also threatened the victims.

Legal Action

Fatorda police have booked a case under BNS Sections 115(2) (causing physical pain or injury), 126(2) (wrongful restraint), 324(4), 35 (mischief causing loss of property), and Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
