A horrific head-on collision on National Highway-68 near Harsani Phanta in Barmer district on Tuesday afternoon has resulted in the tragic deaths of four individuals, including a couple and their young son. The accident, which involved a car and a pickup vehicle, has sent shockwaves through the local community.

The accident occurred when the victims were traveling from Jaisalmer towards Barmer in an i10 car. According to police reports, a speeding pickup truck, heavily loaded with sacks of paint, veered into the path of the oncoming car, leading to a violent collision. Eyewitnesses described both vehicles as "completely mangled" following the impact, with the force of the crash scattering paint across the roadway and creating a chaotic scene.
Victims Identified
The deceased have been identified as:
- Baburam (39), his wife Baby (34), and their son Vivaan (4), all residents of Jhalamalia village in Jodhpur district.
- Virendra (22), a resident of Uttar Pradesh, who was also traveling in the car.
This heartbreaking incident has wiped out a young family, leaving the community in mourning.
Rescue and Response Efforts
