Four Dead, One Critically Injured in Tragic Highway Collision Near Moradabad
A devastating road accident on the Delhi-Lucknow national highway in Uttar Pradesh resulted in four fatalities and left one person fighting for his life on Monday morning. The incident occurred near Mankara Mor under the jurisdiction of the Mundhapande police station in Moradabad district.
Speeding Car Rams into Tractor-Trolley, Causing Severe Damage
According to police reports, a car traveling from the Rampur side at high speed collided with a tractor-trolley that was transporting bricks. The impact of the crash was so intense that the car was completely mangled, trapping all five occupants inside the wreckage.
Local authorities rushed to the scene and worked to extricate the victims from the severely damaged vehicle. All five men were immediately transported to the Mundhapande Community Health Centre for emergency medical attention.
Medical Response and Fatalities Confirmed
At the health centre, medical professionals examined the victims and declared four of them deceased upon arrival. The fifth occupant, who sustained critical injuries in the collision, was stabilized and referred to the district hospital for more advanced treatment.
Circle Officer (Highway) Rajesh Kumar provided details about the victims, confirming that all were residents of Nainital district in Uttarakhand and were en route to Noida at the time of the accident.
Victims Identified, Including Bank Manager and Yoga Teacher
The deceased have been identified as:
- Dayal Singh Rawat of Vimla Compound, Nainital - Regional Manager at Nainital Bank's Noida branch
- Anil Negi, 38, of Haldwani
- Sundar, 42, of Haldwani
- Bhuvan Bhandari, 37, of Haldwani
The critically injured survivor is Yashdeep Pandey, a yoga teacher based in Haldwani who is currently receiving medical care at the district hospital.

Police have initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination as part of standard investigative procedures following such tragic incidents.
