Tragic Collision Claims Four Lives in Madhepura
A devastating road accident ended the lives of four friends in Madhepura district on Saturday morning. The young men, all aged between 25 and 30 years, died instantly when their car smashed head-on into a truck.
Fatal Crash on National Highway
The collision occurred on National Highway 106 near a power grid office. This location falls under the jurisdiction of the Sadar police station area in Madhepura. The friends were returning from JNKT Medical College when the tragedy struck.
Police reports indicate the impact proved catastrophic. The car crumpled completely under the truck's weight. Its bonnet became trapped beneath the truck's front chassis. This crushing force left all four occupants trapped inside the mangled vehicle.
Victims Identified
Authorities have named all four deceased individuals. Sonu Kumar, son of Ashok Sah, lived in ward number 20 of Madhepura town. Sahil Kumar, son of Subodh Sah, resided in ward number 13 of the same town.
The other two victims came from nearby areas. Sajan Kumar, son of Jaiprakash Yadav, hailed from Uda-Kishunganj. Rupesh Kumar, son of Ramnaresh Das, was a resident of Bharrahi in Madhepura.
Hospital Visit Turns Tragic
The four friends had visited JNKT Medical College for a joyous occasion. Sonu Kumar's wife had delivered a baby boy late Friday night. Celebrating this happy news, the group stayed at the hospital before departing for home around 4:30 AM.
Their journey ended abruptly near the power sub-station. The car collided violently with the oncoming truck. Local residents heard the tremendous crash and rushed to the scene.
Rescue Efforts and Aftermath
Locals found the victims trapped inside the destroyed car. They immediately alerted police authorities. Officers arrived promptly and organized a rescue operation.
Police enlisted local help to extract the bodies. They used a JCB crane to pull the victims from the wreckage. All four were rushed to the hospital where doctors declared them dead on arrival.
The truck driver abandoned his vehicle and fled the accident site. Madhepura Station House Officer Bimlendu Kumar confirmed police have seized both vehicles. "We have seized both vehicles and efforts are on to identify and arrest the truck driver," stated SHO Kumar.

Local residents expressed shock and grief over the incident. Many blamed the accident on reckless driving behavior. The community highlighted ongoing concerns about road safety on this stretch of NH-106.
