Fugitive Gangster Sachin Golu Escapes India After Mistaken-Identity Murder in Delhi

In a shocking development, fugitive gangster Sachin Golu has managed to flee India following his involvement in the mistaken-identity killing of a Delhi businessman in 2024. According to sources within central investigative agencies, Golu slipped out of the country through Nepal using forged documents and is currently believed to be residing in Dubai, where he was recently spotted.

The Fatal Mistake: Sunil Jain's Murder

The case dates back to December 2024, when Sachin Golu and his associate Naveen Kasana targeted businessman Sunil Jain in Delhi's Farsh Bazar area. As Jain returned home from his morning walk near the Yamuna Sports Complex on his two-wheeler, the assailants fired approximately half a dozen bullets at him, resulting in his tragic death.

Investigations later revealed this was a case of mistaken identity, with the shooters actually intending to target another individual amid ongoing gang rivalries involving Golu. The Delhi Police had issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Golu, but he managed to evade capture for an extended period following the murder.

The Elusive Escape Route

According to a senior Delhi Police officer, Golu's escape was meticulously planned. "He crossed into Nepal using forged documents and from Nepal, he first went to Thailand and then to Dubai. He was spotted in Dubai and the Delhi Police are now coordinating with central agencies to locate him and get him back," the officer revealed.

For approximately 14 months after the murder, Golu successfully avoided arrest by frequently changing locations and using assumed identities. Despite being spotted on multiple occasions in Delhi, including in Northeast Delhi's Jaffrabad area in February 2025, he managed to escape before police could apprehend him.

A Criminal History and Complicit Officer

Sachin Golu has an extensive criminal record with 11 cases registered against him, including charges of house theft, attempt to murder, and violations under the Arms Act. He has been arrested three times by the Special Cell and several times by officers from Welcome and Bhajanpura police stations in Northeast Delhi.

In a disturbing twist, after the murder, both Kasana and Golu were allegedly harbored by Delhi Police Sub-Inspector Sukhbir. The officer was arrested in February 2025 for providing shelter and financial assistance to the assailants, highlighting concerns about corruption within law enforcement.

International Manhunt Underway

With Golu now believed to be in Dubai, Indian authorities have intensified their efforts to locate and extradite him. The Delhi Police are working closely with central agencies to coordinate an international manhunt for the fugitive gangster.

This case underscores the challenges faced by Indian law enforcement in tracking and apprehending criminals who exploit international borders and forged documents to evade justice. The mistaken-identity aspect adds a particularly tragic dimension to what was already a brutal crime.
