The Nanded police have made a significant breakthrough in the murder case of Shiv Sena functionary Aniket alias Sonu Kalyankar, arresting Indubai Mangnale, the mother of incarcerated gangster Mukteshwar alias Golu Mangnale. The arrest on Friday marks a pivotal development in the investigation into the brutal killing that occurred on April 6.

Indubai Mangnale was taken into custody by authorities and subsequently produced before a local court. The court remanded her to one day of police custody, which concluded on Saturday. According to police officials, Indubai's alleged involvement surfaced during a meticulous investigation that traced a money trail directly connected to the murder. Nanded Superintendent of Police Abinash Kumar stated that the probe revealed Indubai had withdrawn a substantial amount of cash from a bank and handed it over to accused Rohit Lot just days before the fatal attack.
This money was subsequently distributed among other accused individuals, including Piyush Shinde, to facilitate the execution of the murder. Shinde has now been identified as one of the key conspirators in this meticulously planned crime.

Aniket Kalyankar was brutally murdered while on a morning walk, attacked by multiple assailants armed with sharp weapons on a road opposite Kumar Dresses in the Srinagar area. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene, sending shockwaves through the community.

According to a complaint filed by Sonu's father, Ashok, Sonu had been in a relationship 10 to 12 years ago with a woman from the Mangnale family in Naiknagar. The Mangnale family allegedly blamed Sonu for the subsequent cancellation of the marriage, sowing seeds of deep animosity that festered over the years.

The conflict turned violent in 2021 when Golu Mangnale and his associates allegedly opened fire at Sonu's residence in an attempted murder. Sonu miraculously survived this attack, leading to a case being registered at the Bhagyanagar police station.
