Man with Criminal Past Shot Dead in Gaya Village
A man was shot dead by criminals near Kharpar, between Ramdih and Uparahauli villages under the Paraiya police station area in Gaya on Sunday. According to police officials, the identity of the deceased has not been ascertained yet, but preliminary investigations reveal that he had a significant criminal history.
Police Investigation and Postmortem
Tekari Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sushant Kumar Chanchal and Paraiya Station House Officer Sunita Kumari promptly visited the crime scene to conduct a thorough investigation. The body was subsequently sent to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital for a detailed postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death and gather forensic evidence.
Three Suspected Criminals Arrested in Separate Incident
In another development on the same day, police arrested three suspected criminals from Vishrampur village under the Imamganj police station area. A press note issued by the Senior Superintendent of Police office confirmed the arrests of Bindu Paswan, Rahul Paswan, and Mrityunjay Paswan.
Recovery of Weapons and Confession
During the operation, authorities recovered a country-made pistol, a cartridge, a motorcycle, two mobile phones, and an undisclosed amount of cash from the suspects. Upon interrogation, the arrested individuals confessed to their involvement in a loot incident targeting a Punjab National Bank Customer Service Point operator at Pakardih under the Imamganj police station area on April 8.
