Ghaziabad Manager Faces FIR for Alleged Molestation of Colleague After Party

In a disturbing incident from Ghaziabad, an FIR has been registered against a 30-year-old man accused of molesting a female colleague in his car. The alleged assault occurred after a party at the manager's residence in Indirapuram, where the victim was reportedly forced into the vehicle under the pretext of dropping her home.

Details of the Alleged Incident

The complainant, a 26-year-old woman, works at a call centre in Noida alongside the accused, who serves as her manager. According to her statement, she attended a gathering at the accused's home with other colleagues on the night of March 14. The event concluded around 8:30 AM the following morning, at which point the manager began insisting that she ride with him so he could drive her home.

The victim attempted to refuse the offer, but she alleges that he forcibly pushed her into the car. Once inside, he reportedly started touching her inappropriately as the vehicle travelled towards Noida Electronic City. The molestation continued during the journey until she managed to convince him to halt the car and attempted to escape.

Threats and Office Retaliation

As she was leaving the vehicle, the accused allegedly issued threats, warning her that her actions were wrong and that both she and her boyfriend would suffer consequences. He further stated that he would ruin her professional life at the office. Following the incident, the victim reported the matter to her team leader, who, instead of supporting her, sided with the manager.

The team leader dismissed her allegations, claiming that nothing had happened and it was merely her imagination. Subsequently, the manager's behaviour towards her in the workplace reportedly remained hostile and negative, exacerbating the situation.

Legal Action and Police Response

ACP Abhishek Srivastava of Indirapuram confirmed that an FIR has been officially registered in this case. The charges have been filed under specific sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Section 74, which pertains to assault or use of criminal force against a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty, and Section 352, which addresses intentional insult with the aim of provoking a breach of the peace.

The police are actively investigating the matter to gather further evidence and statements from all involved parties. This case highlights ongoing concerns about workplace safety and the handling of harassment complaints in corporate environments.
