Family Feud Turns Violent in Gaondongrim

A horrific incident of family violence has shaken the quiet village of Fulamol in Gaondongrim, Canacona. On Sunday, a 23-year-old man, Madhu Zore, was brutally assaulted by his own cousins following a dispute within the family.

Weapons Used in the Brutal Attack

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Nilesh Rane, the accused individuals—identified as Janu Zore, Bombo Zore, and Deepak Zore—carried out a vicious attack. They allegedly used dangerous weapons including a crowbar, a wooden stick, and a chopper to assault Madhu, causing severe bleeding injuries.

The complaint, filed by the victim's brother Dhavo T Zore, states that the incident occurred when Madhu had gone out to search for his buffalo. The accused cousins confronted him, a quarrel ensued, and it quickly escalated into the violent assault.

Victim's Critical Condition and Police Action

The attack left Madhu Zore with serious injuries. He was first taken to the Community Health Centre in Canacona for initial treatment. Due to the gravity of his wounds, he was subsequently rushed to the South Goa District Hospital in Margao.

Given his critical condition, he was later transferred to the Goa Medical College (GMC) for advanced medical care. The police have initiated a thorough investigation into the matter.

DySP Rane confirmed that a case of attempt to murder is being registered against the three accused. The charges are being framed under Sections 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) read with Section 3(5) of the BNS.

This shocking case highlights how longstanding family disputes can tragically erupt into extreme violence, leading to severe legal consequences for the perpetrators.
