Mhow: A resident of Manpur was looted in a village on Mandu-Gujri road on Wednesday night. The incident occurred when the victim slowed down his car at a speed breaker, and miscreants took advantage of the situation.

Nalcha police station sub inspector Jaipal Billore told TOI that a case of loot under relevant sections of BNS has been registered on the complaint of Vinay, a resident of Manpur near Mhow. As per the complainant, he was passing through Sodalyapura village on Mandu-Gujri road in his car. As soon as he slowed down on a speed breaker, some miscreants put their hands inside the car and grabbed his collar. Before he could react, one of them snatched a gold chain from his neck and fled with it.
Value of Stolen Item
Vinay claimed that the chain was worth Rs 2.5 lakh. The miscreants managed to escape quickly after the snatching, leaving the victim shocked.
Police Investigation
SI Billore said that the investigation was going on in the case. Police are examining CCTV footage from the area and questioning locals to identify the accused. Further details are awaited.
