Graham Staines murder: Dara Singh's remission plea deferred

The State Sentence Review Board, which was scheduled to convene on Tuesday to deliberate on the remission plea of Dara Singh, a convict in the Graham Staines murder case, along with other matters, has been postponed, officials confirmed. The meeting was deferred due to the unavailability of board members. A government officer stated that the home department will soon announce a new date for the meeting.

As previously reported, Additional Solicitor General K M Nataraj informed the Supreme Court bench, which is hearing Dara's remission plea, on May 13 that the board would meet on May 26. The next hearing in the case before the Supreme Court is scheduled for July 14.
