Hazaribag: The owner of a grocery store was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly selling spurious liquor, according to local police. The accused, identified as Roshan Kumar, is a resident of Punaidih village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Daru police station.
Arrest and Seizure
Superintendent of Police (SP) Aman Kumar stated on Thursday that Roshan was caught red-handed while selling spurious liquor without proper authorization. During the operation, law enforcement officials seized several bottles of various brands of Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from his possession.
Legal Action
The accused has been booked under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Excise Act. The police have launched a detailed investigation to trace the source of the illicit liquor and determine if any other individuals are involved in the illegal trade.
