Prayagraj GRP Rescues Three Minor Girls After Dispute at Home

In a swift and coordinated operation, the Government Railway Police (GRP) at Prayagraj Chheoki junction successfully rescued three minor girls on Saturday. The girls, who had reportedly left their homes in Ballia following a domestic dispute, were traveling towards Nashik by train when the intervention occurred.

Immediate Action Following Police Alert

The GRP was alerted by the Ballia Kotwali police, who provided crucial information that the three girls were aboard the general coach of the Rajgir-Patna Express (Train No. 13201). Taking immediate cognisance of the situation, a dedicated team was mobilized under the leadership of GRP inspector Akhilesh Kumar Singh. The operation was conducted under the close supervision of railway circle officer Arun Kumar Pathak, with intensified checking measures implemented at Prayagraj Chheoki railway station to ensure a prompt response.

Safe Recovery and Counseling Efforts

During a meticulous search at Platform No. 3, the GRP team located the three girls safely onboard the train. They were immediately taken to the GRP outpost for necessary counseling and support. Subsequent verification confirmed that the girls were residents of the Kotwali City area in Ballia and had departed from their homes without informing their families, highlighting the urgency of the situation.

This incident underscores the critical role of inter-district police coordination and rapid response mechanisms in safeguarding vulnerable individuals, particularly minors, in transit scenarios. The GRP's proactive measures have been commended for preventing potential risks and ensuring the well-being of the children involved.
