Panchmahal LCB Invokes GujCTOC Against Cow Slaughter Gang
Vadodara: The Panchmahal Local Crime Branch (LCB) has invoked the Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime (GujCTOC) Act against a gang allegedly involved in cow slaughter and the sale of beef. According to police, the gang members collectively have 19 criminal cases registered against them at various police stations.
Police have arrested two gang members — Ahmed Siddique Pauva and Salman Yamin, both residents of Godhra. Four other accused, identified as Imtiyaz Bhopli, Almas Qasim, Ruhalamin Razzak and Sufiyan Pathan, are yet to be arrested under the GCTOC provisions.
Officials said that Bhopli, Qasim and Razzak are currently lodged in sub-jails in connection with other offences, while efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining accused.
