In a startling incident in Gurgaon, an FIR has been registered following allegations by a man that his gold ring was stolen by two unidentified women who approached his car outside a liquor shop on Golf Course Road late on Tuesday night. The complainant, a resident of DLF Phase 3, Sector 24, reported the theft to the police, sparking an investigation into the brazen act.
Details of the Theft Incident
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 9:50 pm in front of the G Town liquor shop. The victim was sitting in his car with a friend, having gone to the location to purchase wine. Two women, described as wearing pink and black tops, approached the vehicle and requested cigarettes. The man in the pink top allegedly opened the car door after receiving a cigarette and made objectionable advances, grabbing the complainant's hand and pinching his finger.
Feeling uncomfortable, the complainant instructed his friend to drive away from the spot. However, after moving approximately 200 metres, he discovered that his gold ring was missing. Suspecting that the woman had stolen it during the interaction, he returned to the scene, but the two women had already fled the area.
Police Investigation and Legal Action
A police officer involved in the case stated that the accused had been in the area for about 15 minutes prior to the incident. Authorities are currently working to identify the women, with efforts focused on gathering and analyzing CCTV footage from the vicinity. The officer assured, "We have gathered CCTV footage from the area and are trying to trace them. They will be nabbed soon."
Police confirmed that the victim is employed at a private company in Gurgaon. Based on his formal complaint, the accused have been booked under Section 305(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to theft in a means of transportation. The FIR was lodged at the Sector 53 police station, marking a serious step in the legal proceedings against the perpetrators.
