A tragic incident unfolded in Manesar on Thursday when a 36-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death by her husband following a domestic dispute. The accused, identified as Narender Singh (40), a native of Mathura, is currently on the run after committing the crime at their rented accommodation. The police have registered a murder case at the IMT Manesar police station and launched a manhunt to apprehend him.
Background of the Couple
According to investigators, the couple, who were living with their four children, were both employed in private firms in the industrial hub. Narender worked in the loading department of Maruti’s plant in IMT Manesar, while Kajal was employed with a private company in the same area. They had been living together with their children in a rented house.
Trigger of the Incident
The police revealed that the incident stemmed from an argument after Narender found certain messages on Kajal’s mobile phone. Suspecting her of infidelity, he confronted her, leading to a heated exchange. The family had dinner together, after which the accused objected to a phone call. During the altercation, the couple assaulted each other before the argument turned fatal.
Investigators said that Narender, in a fit of rage, used a dupatta to strangle Kajal. The assault took place while the couple’s children were asleep in the house. Police sources confirmed that the children woke up after hearing their mother’s screams and attempted to intervene. However, Narender allegedly continued the assault.
Attempt to Save Her
After Kajal fell unconscious, Narender rushed her to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Soon after, the accused fled the hospital. The police were alerted by hospital staff around 2:30 am. A police team reached the hospital and subsequently visited the crime scene.
Teams from IMT Manesar police station, along with forensic experts, reached the couple’s residence and collected evidence from the spot. The body was shifted to a local mortuary for an autopsy. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are actively searching for the absconding husband.
