Violent Assault Near Gurgaon Metro Station Leaves Five Youths Injured

In a shocking incident of public violence, a group of men brutally assaulted five youths with iron rods, chased them, and attempted to run them over with their car near the Sector 53 metro station on Golf Course Road. Gurgaon police confirmed the details on Friday, revealing a case has been registered under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Escalation from a Simple Question to a Vicious Attack

The violent episode unfolded around 1:50 AM when Divya Parkash, a resident of Ansal Society in Sector 67, stopped at a tea stall with his friends Hansraj, Rahul, Himanshu, and Manish. According to Parkash's official complaint, two unidentified men arrived on a motorcycle, briefly stopped at the stall, and fled immediately after abandoning their two-wheeler.

Shortly thereafter, a Grand Vitara car reached the location. Two occupants exited the vehicle and questioned the group about the motorcycle riders. When the youths stated they had no information regarding the riders' whereabouts, one of the men allegedly slapped Hansraj, accusing them of dishonesty. As Hansraj attempted to defend himself, the situation rapidly deteriorated into a full-scale assault.

Coordinated Attack with Weapons and Vehicle

Within moments, three additional individuals from the same car joined the confrontation, surrounding the youths and launching a vicious attack using iron rods. As the victims tried to escape, the assailants blocked their path and continued the assault. During the chaos, Parkash reported being struck from behind by the Vitara car, resulting in injuries to his stomach and nose.

The attackers also allegedly issued explicit death threats while the group struggled to flee the scene. In addition to the physical violence, the accused vandalized two vehicles belonging to the victims by striking them with iron rods. Personal belongings, including a purse, spectacles, and a watch, were allegedly taken from Parkash's car during the incident.

Police Response and Legal Action

Law enforcement authorities were first alerted about the violent assault by a private hospital in Sector 53, where the injured youths had been taken for medical treatment. However, the victims left the facility soon after receiving initial care. The following day, Parkash formally approached the police station and submitted a detailed complaint, triggering an official investigation.

Police have since visited the crime scene and are actively working to identify and apprehend the accused individuals. A comprehensive case has been registered under multiple sections of the BNS, including:

  • Section 115(2) for voluntarily causing hurt
  • Section 190 addressing liability of unlawful assembly members
  • Section 191(2) for rioting
  • Section 324(4) for mischief
  • Section 351(2) for criminal intimidation
  • Section 110 for attempt to commit culpable homicide

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities piece together the sequence of events and pursue the perpetrators responsible for this disturbing act of public violence in one of Gurgaon's prominent areas.
