Deadly Motorcycle Collision in Gurgaon Claims One Life, Injures Four
A tragic high-speed accident involving two motorcycles occurred near Khor village in Pataudi, Gurgaon, on Wednesday afternoon, leading to one fatality and leaving four others with injuries. The incident, which took place around 3:15 PM, has prompted police action under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Eyewitness Account Details the Crash
According to a complaint filed by Ravish, a private bus conductor and resident of Khor, he witnessed the collision firsthand. Ravish had parked his bus near an HP petrol pump and was preparing to return home when he observed a Splendor motorcycle carrying three youths from his village—Raman, Mainpal, and Umesh—traveling from Pataudi towards Khor. Raman was operating the bike at the time.
Ravish alleged that another motorcycle, identified as HR76F9562 and carrying two individuals, approached from the opposite direction at an excessively high speed. The two vehicles collided head-on, causing both motorcycles to fall onto the road. This impact resulted in injuries to all five riders involved, with the three youths sustaining particularly serious wounds.
Immediate Response and Medical Efforts
In the aftermath of the crash, Ravish and other bystanders quickly rushed the injured to the government hospital in Pataudi using a private vehicle. Despite these efforts, Ravish later learned that Raman succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The police confirmed that after receiving information about the accident, Head Constable Ravinder reached the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Pataudi to obtain medico-legal reports.
Initially, all injured persons were recorded as unknown and were referred to PGIMS Rohtak and the government hospital in Gurgaon for further medical care. Hospital records subsequently verified the death of one of the injured individuals, identified as Raman.
Legal Proceedings and Ongoing Investigation
The Pataudi police station has registered a case under sections 281, 125A, and 106 of the BNS in connection with the accident. These sections typically pertain to rash driving, negligence, and related offenses. As of now, the accused individual has not been arrested, and the investigation remains active. Authorities are working to determine the exact causes and circumstances surrounding the high-speed collision.
