Gurgaon Police Raid Yields Country-Made Pistol Instead of Liquor
Gurgaon Police Raid Recovers Country-Made Pistol

A police team in Gurgaon, acting on a tip-off about an illegal liquor operation, broke into a house in the Ballabhgarh area only to find a country-made firearm instead of alcohol. The operation involved scaling adjacent rooftops to access the premises.

Details of the Raid

Officials from the Faridabad crime branch stated that they had received complaints, along with video evidence, regarding illicit activities at the location. By the time the team entered the house, the accused had already fled. The door was locked from inside, and the windows were shut. Despite repeated requests to open the door, there was no response, forcing the police to use a grinder and hammer to break it open.

The search resulted in the recovery of a country-made pistol. A police officer said, “The joint team of crime branch Uncha Gaon and City Ballabhgarh police station reached the house on Sunday after receiving information that Lekhraj, a resident of Azad Nagar, was selling illegal liquor and intoxicants from the premises.”
