Tragic Road Accident Claims Life of Young Factory Worker in Gurgaon

A devastating road accident in Gurgaon resulted in the death of a 21-year-old factory staffer on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred near IMT Manesar, highlighting ongoing concerns about road safety in industrial areas.

Details of the Fatal Collision

Nilesh Kumar, a resident of Begusarai district in Bihar, was struck by a truck while crossing the road. According to police reports, the accident took place around 1 PM near Bhangrola T-Point. Nilesh had recently started working as a helper at an industrial unit in Sector 7, IMT Manesar, and was living with his elder brother in Bhangrola village.

At the time of the incident, Nilesh was walking towards Baas village market to purchase household supplies. A canter with registration number DL1LAQ2810, traveling from Naharpur towards Sector 8, allegedly hit him at high speed. Passersby immediately alerted the police control room, prompting an emergency response vehicle to rush to the scene.

The injured victim was swiftly transported to Civil Hospital Gurgaon, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival. The truck driver, identified as Anuj Singh Rajawant, a 34-year-old native of Uttar Pradesh, was detained at the spot. His vehicle was impounded as part of the investigation.

A case has been registered under Sections 281 (rash driving) and 106(1) (causing death due to negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the IMT Manesar police station. This legal action underscores the seriousness with which authorities are treating the incident, aiming to hold accountable those responsible for negligent driving.

Background of the Victim and Community Impact

Nilesh Kumar's untimely death has left his family and community in shock. His brother, Avnish Kumar, filed a formal complaint detailing the circumstances of the accident. The young worker had recently relocated to Gurgaon in search of employment opportunities, a common trend among migrants from Bihar seeking better livelihoods in industrial hubs.

This tragedy brings to light the vulnerabilities faced by pedestrians and workers in high-traffic areas like IMT Manesar. It also raises questions about enforcement of traffic rules and measures to prevent such accidents in the future.

Authorities continue to investigate the exact causes of the collision, while the community mourns the loss of a promising young life.
