Gurgaon: Three Arrested for Multiple Firing Incidents

Gurgaon Police Nab Trio After Series of Firing Incidents

In a significant breakthrough, Gurgaon police have arrested three individuals following a spate of firing incidents that rattled the city over two consecutive days. The crime branch apprehended Vinay (26), Bobby (25), and Pawan (27), all residents of Kadarpur village, who are accused of opening fire at four different locations.

Violence Unfolds Over Personal Rivalries

According to police officials, the incidents occurred on January 28 and 29, with the trio allegedly acting "with intent to murder" stemming from personal enmities. During interrogation, all three suspects confessed to their involvement in the violent episodes.

The first incident unfolded on January 28 when three men arrived in a black vehicle outside a residence in Kadarpur village. After threatening two brothers over the phone for several hours, the accused fired eight to ten rounds into the air. The complainant reported receiving repeated death threats between 8 PM and 1 AM, prompting him and his brother to stop answering calls out of fear for their safety.

Multiple Crime Scenes Investigated

A police team from Sector 65 conducted a thorough inspection of the initial crime scene. Forensic experts from multiple departments were mobilized to collect evidence:

  • Scene-of-crime unit personnel
  • Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) teams
  • Fingerprint bureau officials
  • Station management staff

As the investigation progressed, authorities uncovered three additional firing incidents linked to the same accused individuals.

Toll Plaza Attack and Village Shootings

On January 29, the situation escalated when the trio allegedly opened fire at employees of the Ghamdoj toll plaza after being asked to pay the required toll tax. Later that same day, they targeted a person in the Jheel ki Dani area of Kadarpur village due to longstanding hostility, resulting in two separate cases being registered at Bhondsi police station.

The violent spree continued into the evening around 8:50 PM when the accused fired at the house of a man named Rohit in Kadarpur village following a dispute. This incident prompted another case to be filed at Sector 65 police station.

Criminal Backgrounds Revealed

Police investigations revealed that the arrested individuals have previous criminal records involving Arms Act violations and assault cases. Their history of violent behavior added context to the recent shooting incidents that created panic among local residents.

The coordinated police response and subsequent arrests have brought some relief to the affected communities, though authorities continue to investigate the full extent of the criminal activities and potential connections to other incidents.
