A tragic incident unfolded in Gurugram late Saturday night when a security officer allegedly shot dead his wife and son with his licensed pistol following a heated argument at their residence in Ashok Vihar. The accused, identified as Anil, was found sitting beside the bodies when police arrived at the scene.

According to preliminary investigations, Anil, a security officer with a private company, had frequent disputes with his wife Asha (45), who worked as the principal of a private school. On the night of the incident, another argument erupted between the couple, which quickly escalated. Their son Prashant (25), who was sleeping in an adjacent room, woke up upon hearing loud voices and attempted to intervene. In a fit of rage, Anil drew his licensed pistol and opened fire on both Asha and Prashant. Both victims died on the spot.

Neighbors reported hearing multiple gunshots and rushed to the house. They discovered the mother and son lying in pools of blood and promptly alerted the authorities. When police and forensic teams arrived, the accused was allegedly found sitting beside the bodies. The victims were transported to the Civil Hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead upon arrival.
