Major Security Operation in Hazaribag Leads to Arrest of Eight TSPC Members
In a significant breakthrough against extremist activities, Hazaribag police successfully apprehended eight members of the banned Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TSPC) outfit during a meticulously planned late-night operation on Saturday. The operation, conducted within the jurisdiction of Urimari police station, resulted in the recovery of a substantial cache of sophisticated arms and ammunition.
Intelligence-Driven Police Action Prevents Potential Incident
According to official police statements, authorities received credible intelligence indicating that members associated with the proscribed extremist organization were actively planning to execute a major disruptive incident. Acting swiftly on this critical tip-off, a specialized police team was immediately constituted under the direct supervision and strategic direction of Hazaribag Superintendent of Police, Anjani Anjan.
The operation unfolded during routine vehicle checking and intensive patrolling duties, when police personnel identified a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) moving in a highly suspicious manner. Following the crash, all occupants inside the SUV were swiftly surrounded and taken into custody by the pursuing police team without any reported injuries to officers or suspects.
During a thorough search of the damaged vehicle, investigating officers discovered a carefully concealed arsenal of weapons hidden beneath both the front and middle seats. The recovered items represent a significant threat to public safety and include:
