A tragic incident has come to light in Hazaribag, where a class 10 student allegedly died by suicide on her birthday after being subjected to constant stalking and harassment by a fellow classmate over a one-sided love affair. The incident occurred on Friday, and a complaint has been lodged with the Bara Bazar police station against three individuals.

In his complaint, the father of the deceased claimed that his daughter had been pressured by a classmate to go out with him for the past month. On the day of the incident, the accused harassed her when she went to school and continued to make phone calls to her after she returned home. The father further added that the boy, along with his mother and a relative, also threatened the victim.
Previous Attempts at Counseling
The father stated that they had previously tried to counsel the boy after the girl informed them about the earlier incidents. However, the harassment did not stop, leading to the tragic outcome.

Sub-Divisional Police Officer (headquarters) Amit Kumar Anand confirmed that the police have received the information and are looking into the matter.
