Hisar: Newly-elected office-bearers of the Hisar district bar association formally assumed charge on Saturday after a swearing-in ceremony. Election officer Dalip Jakhar administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly elected team, which pledged to uphold transparency, protect the interests of advocates, and work for the welfare of the legal fraternity.
The ceremony marked the official commencement of the new term following the Bar Association elections held on Friday. In the elections, Pradeep Bajia was elected president, Rahul Singh vice-president, Sameer Sihag secretary, Sahil Maderna joint secretary, and Asha Rani Balyan treasurer.
Addressing the gathering, election officer Jakhar thanked members of the election committee, contesting candidates, bar members, and staff for their cooperation in ensuring the successful conduct of the polls. He said the elections were completed peacefully, fairly, and transparently due to the collective discipline and democratic spirit displayed by all stakeholders.
In his inaugural address, newly-elected president Pradeep Bajia expressed gratitude to the members of the bar association for reposing faith in his leadership. He said every advocate would be treated equally and assured members that safeguarding the interests of the bar and addressing the concerns of advocates would remain his foremost priority. Bajia also announced that general house meetings of the association would be held regularly every month to facilitate open discussions on important issues and enable collective decision-making through consensus.
Secretary Sameer Sihag said the bar association would remain readily available to assist advocates facing professional challenges. He emphasized the need to further strengthen cordial relations between the bar and the bench to ensure smooth and effective functioning of judicial work.
During the ceremony, outgoing office-bearers welcomed the newly elected team with floral garlands and extended their best wishes for a successful tenure. The newly elected office-bearers, in turn, honored members of the election committee for conducting the polls in a fair and efficient manner.
