Trichy: History-Sheeter Hacked to Death by Gang

A 24-year-old history-sheeter, identified as M Badushah, was brutally hacked to death by an unidentified gang near Thiruverumbur in Trichy district late on Saturday night. Police suspect that personal enmity, linked to an alleged affair with a woman, may have led to the murder.

The deceased, a resident of Bharathiyar street in Ariyamangalam, had several criminal cases pending against him. His mutilated body was discovered in Kamarajar Nagar, near the Kattur oil mill check-post, on Sunday morning. According to police, a gang of three intercepted Badushah and attacked him with sickles before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Residents alerted the authorities after noticing the body lying in a pool of blood.

District Superintendent of Police Dongre Praveen Umesh conducted an inspection at the crime site. Thiruverumbur police sent the body to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital for a post-mortem examination. A murder case has been registered, and a search for the assailants is underway.
