A devastating hit-and-run incident on National Highway 107 near Rajpur village in Madhepura district has resulted in the tragic death of a motorcycle rider and serious injuries to two pillion passengers. Victims Identified in the Tragic Collision
The deceased has been identified as Saurav Kumar, a 25-year-old resident of Dafra ward number 10 under the Gwalpara police station area in Madhepura district. He was the son of Ramchandra Yadav. The two injured pillion riders are Neha Kumari, 23, daughter of Manoj Yadav from Bhargam in Araria district, and Shishu Yadav, 24, from Malodha village in Saharsa district.
Sequence of Events Leading to the Fatal Accident
According to family sources, Saurav Kumar had traveled to Singheshwar Sthan on Sunday and spent the night there. On Monday morning, the trio was returning to Purnia when their motorcycle was struck by an unidentified vehicle on NH-107. The impact was severe, killing Saurav Kumar instantly at the scene.
Local residents quickly gathered at the accident site to assist the victims. They discovered Saurav Kumar deceased and provided initial help to the injured. Subsequently, Bharrahi Station House Officer Armod Kumar arrived with a police team, coordinating the emergency response.
Police Response and Investigation Underway
The police promptly rushed the injured victims to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment. After completing preliminary formalities at the scene, authorities transported Saurav Kumar's body to Sadar Hospital in Madhepura for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
