Violence Erupts in Hyderabad's Attapur Area Following Dispute

Tension flared in the Chintalmet area of Attapur, Hyderabad, after a group of local youths allegedly set fire to the door of a house where hotel workers were staying and later attacked one of the workers with a knife on Sunday. The incidents followed an argument, leading to police intervention with cases registered for arson and attempt to murder.

First Incident: Arson Attack on Saturday Night

The first incident occurred around 10 pm on Saturday. Md Sajjad, a 39-year-old electrician from Wadi-e-Mahamood in Chintalmet, Attapur, was alerted by his nephew Faizan that a group of local youths were smoking and consuming liquor in front of his house. When Sajjad reached the spot, an argument broke out. According to police reports, the youths then called their associates, poured petrol on the door of the house, and set it ablaze.

Sajjad told police, "Workers of a local hotel stay in that house, which is owned by my sister. The workers informed my nephew about the hooligans, and he in turn sought my help. I was assaulted by the group when I tried to stop them, and they set the door on fire."
