Brutal Assault on Preschooler Shocks Hyderabad Community
A criminal case has been registered against a 55-year-old school ayah following a disturbing incident where she allegedly attacked a 4-year-old girl at a private school in Shapoor Nagar, Jeedimetla. The assault occurred on Saturday and has sparked outrage across Hyderabad.
Jeedimetla police have booked both the accused ayah and the school management under Section 118 of the BNS for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous means and the Juvenile Justice Act. The victim, who studies in nursery class at the institution, suffered significant trauma during the attack.
Graphic Details of the Assault Emerge
The horrifying incident took place when the ayah took the young girl to the washroom. According to police reports, the accused repeatedly attacked the child, at one point even trampling on her small body. Witnesses and evidence suggest she banged the girl's head against the floor, throttled her neck, and slapped her multiple times.
What makes this case particularly compelling is that the entire assault was captured on video by a resident living adjacent to the school premises. This crucial evidence later made its way to the victim's mother, who coincidentally works at the same school as an ayah.
School Management Faces Scrutiny
When the traumatized mother approached school authorities to report the cruelty inflicted on her daughter, her complaints were allegedly ignored. This failure to act promptly has resulted in the school management facing legal consequences alongside the primary accused.
The victim required immediate medical attention and was admitted to hospital for treatment of her injuries. Jeedimetla inspector G Mallesh confirmed to media that while there were no external bleeding injuries, the child suffered internal injuries and was terrified by the experience. Her health is currently stable as she continues undergoing treatment.
Police investigation suggests that personal differences between the accused ayah and the victim's mother might have motivated the brutal assault. The accused, who has been working at the school for six years, remains in police custody while investigations continue.
In a heartbreaking revelation, the victim's mother, who hails from Odisha, shared that her daughter had previously complained about the ayah beating her, but she didn't believe the child at that time. This case has raised serious questions about child safety protocols in educational institutions and the need for better monitoring systems.
