Imran Khan Death Rumours: Sister Compares Pakistan Rule to Nazi Germany
Imran Khan Death Rumours: Sister's Nazi Germany Comparison

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's sister, Noreen Niazi, has launched a scathing attack on the country's establishment, drawing parallels with Nazi Germany, amid disturbing rumours about her brother's death circulating on social media.

Noreen Niazi's Allegations of an Information Blackout

In an emotional outburst, Noreen Niazi, one of the jailed cricketer-turned-politician's three sisters, expressed deep anguish over the complete lack of access to her brother. She revealed that family members and his political party colleagues have been barred from meeting him for over four weeks, fueling anxiety and uncertainty.

"We don't know anything," Niazi stated, as reported by ANI. "They are not telling us anything, nor are they letting anybody meet him. His party's people went there because they had a meeting scheduled, but they were not allowed inside."

She specifically addressed the viral rumours, noting, "We got to know that news was circulating in India that he had been killed." She accused the Pakistani government of deliberately withholding information and giving police a free hand to deal with Imran Khan's supporters.

Censorship and a Chilling Comparison to Hitler's Regime

Niazi's criticism extended to what she described as extreme media censorship in Pakistan. "Censorship in Pakistan is so extreme that they apprehend media people... and then oppress them so much that when they are let out, they're not even allowed to speak," she alleged.

Her most severe condemnation came when she compared the current situation to history's darkest chapters. "Major popular names in Pakistan's media are currently outside the country. They've fled and can't return. Their accounts in Pakistan are blocked, their properties have been confiscated, and their passports have been blocked," she said.

Drawing a direct and chilling parallel, she added, "We used to hear and read about Hitler... just like Hitler used to lock people in basements, the same thing is happening in Pakistan."

Official Denials and Political Unrest

In response to the escalating rumours, the Adiala Jail administration issued a statement on November 26, firmly denying the speculation. Officials dismissed the claims of Imran Khan's death as "baseless" and asserted that the former Prime Minister remains lodged in the Rawalpindi jail.

"He is fully healthy and receiving complete medical attention," the jail officials said, according to a report by the Pakistani news portal Geo. They also refuted reports about his transfer from the facility.

The tension surrounding Khan's imprisonment was further highlighted when Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, along with other PTI lawmakers and supporters, staged a demonstration in front of Adiala Jail. This protest was fueled by growing concerns over Khan's health, concerns that were initially raised by another of his sisters, Aleema Khan, who was also denied permission to meet him.

Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, are currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail in connection with a series of corruption charges.
