Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya stated, "Spotting the police, Lakhan allegedly tried to flee and jumped off the bridge in a bid to escape. The fall resulted in a fractured leg, leaving him injured and unable to run further." According to police reports, 30-year-old Rajesh Chaudhary, a resident of Kalaria on Dhar Road, lodged a complaint stating that around 6:30 pm on February 26, he was returning home in his car when a motorcycle rider, accompanied by associates, began riding recklessly near a school. One of them allegedly spat on the bonnet of his car. When Rajesh objected, the group abused him, assaulted him, and demanded money for liquor. Upon his refusal, they allegedly damaged his car and threatened to kill him before fleeing the scene.

Utilizing the viral footage, police arrested the primary accused, identified as Kuldeep, aged 18. He is alleged to have struck the car with a baseball bat, causing damage to the vehicle and injuries to the driver. Police noted that Kuldeep has previous cases registered at Chandan Nagar and Malharganj police stations. The other accused individuals are Ujjwal Dubey, Shubham Gore, and Vishal Chaudhary. All three have prior criminal records at different police stations in Indore, underscoring a pattern of alleged misconduct.
