Indore Leaders and Businessmen Stranded in Dubai Amid Regional Tensions
In a developing situation, numerous prominent political figures and business leaders from Indore have found themselves stranded in Dubai following the abrupt cancellation of flights. This disruption comes as tensions escalate across West Asia, creating widespread travel uncertainty.

The group, which traveled to Dubai on a business trip, was scheduled to return to India on Sunday. However, they received last-minute notifications that their return flight had been canceled. Among those affected are:
- Businessman Praveen Kakkad
- Businessman Pintu Chhabra
- Former MLA Sanjay Shukla
- Former MLA Vishal Patel
Attempts to contact some of the stranded individuals directly were unsuccessful, as calls went unanswered.
Safety and Official Response
A source close to one of the businessmen, who requested anonymity, provided reassurance regarding the group's well-being. "They had gone in a group for a business trip. They are safe and have contacted the Indian Embassy. The embassy has informed them that the situation is likely to normalise soon," the source stated.
Adding to this, former MLA Sanjay Shukla took to social media platform X late on Saturday to confirm his safety. He posted, "I want to assure everyone that we are completely safe and well. Due to the current international situation, the temporary closure of Dubai airport has prevented our return to India today. We are receiving full support and assistance from the governments of Dubai and India." Shukla noted that he is stranded along with family and friends.

The flight cancellations have rippled beyond this group, affecting numerous travelers from Madhya Pradesh. Travel agents report that several passengers are now facing significant uncertainty regarding rescheduling and return plans. Additionally, some pilgrims traveling for Umrah to Saudi Arabia are also reported to be impacted by the disruptions.
