Indore Man Beaten to Death by Friend Over Alcohol

A 35-year-old private bank employee was allegedly beaten to death by his friend during a drinking session in Indore's Panchwati Colony on Tuesday afternoon. Aerodrome police station in-charge Varendra Kushwah said the victim was identified as Jitendra Meena. The incident occurred around 1 pm when Jitendra was consuming alcohol with his friend, Dharmendra Panwar.

Dispute Turns Fatal

Police said a dispute erupted between the two men. As the argument intensified, Dharmendra allegedly assaulted Jitendra with a liquor bottle and then struck him on the head with a nearby water-filling motor. The attack left Jitendra with severe head injuries, leading to his death on the spot.

Background of the Victim

Investigators said Jitendra had been living alone after his wife reportedly left him around seven years ago. He was employed at a private bank in the city.

Police Action

Following the incident, police reached the spot, sent the body for postmortem examination, and registered a murder case. The accused is absconding, and a search has been launched to trace and arrest him.
