Indore MBA Student Murder: Classmate Arrested After Fleeing to Mumbai

In a shocking case from Indore, a 24-year-old female MBA student was murdered by her classmate, who then allegedly mistreated her body and performed occult rituals while on the run, police officials disclosed on Monday. The gruesome details emerged as authorities pieced together the events leading to the young woman's death.

Discovery of the Body and Police Investigation

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shrikrishna Lalchandani, the investigation began on February 13 when residents in the Dwarkapuri police station area complained of a foul odor emanating from a closed house. Upon arrival, police discovered the naked body of the 24-year-old woman inside the premises.

The victim was pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from a local college in Indore, and her body was found in her classmate's rented accommodation, Lalchandani confirmed. The classmate had fled the scene immediately after the incident, triggering a manhunt across states.

Arrest and Disturbing Revelations

The accused was subsequently apprehended in Mumbai, where he is currently undergoing interrogation. During questioning, the DCP revealed that the classmate confessed to strangling the woman to death and then "mistreating" her body post-mortem.

Even more chilling, the accused admitted to performing witchcraft near Panvel in Navi Mumbai while evading capture. He claimed to have been mentally disturbed after the murder and attempted to communicate with the victim's spirit through these occult practices, according to police statements.

Motives and Allegations

Police investigations indicate that the woman and the accused were in a close relationship. "The accused suspected that she was talking to other men. Enraged, he killed her and fled," DCP Lalchandani stated, outlining the primary motive behind the crime.

However, additional allegations have surfaced from the victim's family. Her father has accused the classmate of attempting to extort money from his daughter using obscene photographs, followed by torturing her to death. He further alleged that the accused had threatened to release these photos and had even posted them in her college WhatsApp group as part of the extortion scheme.

Ongoing Legal Proceedings

The case has now entered a critical phase with the accused in custody. Authorities are continuing their interrogation to uncover all facets of this tragic incident, including verifying the extortion claims and examining the psychological state of the perpetrator. The police are working to build a comprehensive case for prosecution, ensuring justice for the murdered MBA student and her grieving family.
