Indore Crime Branch Nabs Absconding Drug Supplier After Year-Long Manhunt
Indore Police Arrests Absconding Accused in Major Drug Case

In a significant breakthrough, the crime branch of Indore police has successfully apprehended an absconding accused involved in a high-value narcotics case. The arrest concludes a nearly year-long search for the suspect linked to the seizure of cannabis (ganja) and MD drugs.

Details of the Initial Drug Bust and Seizure

This case originated with the earlier arrest of two individuals identified as Bharat Choursiya and Yogesh Ladiya. During that operation, law enforcement officials made a substantial recovery. The seized contraband included 2.473 kilograms of cannabis (ganja) and 30.71 grams of MD drug. Additionally, three mobile phones were confiscated from the accused.

The total market value of the confiscated narcotics was assessed to be over Rs 5.57 lakh, highlighting the scale of the illegal operation that was disrupted.

The Hunt for the Absconding Supplier

As the investigation progressed, the name of another key suspect emerged. He was identified as Brajkant, also known as Ganpat Choursiya, a resident of Badi Gurgi Gudh village in Rewa district. Police sources stated that Brajkant had been absconding for nearly a year, evading capture.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs and leveraging advanced cyber surveillance techniques, dedicated teams from the crime branch were able to track down his location. Their persistent efforts culminated in his arrest, bringing a crucial figure in the drug supply chain to justice.

Admission of Illegal Drug Trade

During subsequent questioning by the police, the arrested accused, Brajkant, reportedly confessed to his involvement in the narcotics network. He admitted to a straightforward yet profitable illicit business model: purchasing drugs at relatively low prices and then supplying them within Indore city at significantly higher rates to earn illegal profits.

This arrest underscores the continued efforts of the Indore Police to dismantle drug networks operating in the city. It also demonstrates the effectiveness of combining traditional intelligence with digital surveillance methods to track down elusive criminals.
