The Lasudia police have secured a two-day remand for Mohnish and his father, Kuldeep Chaudhary, for their alleged involvement in the death of woman engineer Shampa Pathak Pandey. The duo was produced in court on Friday, and investigators plan to question them in detail and conduct identification procedures as part of the ongoing probe. They are likely to be presented in court again after the remand period concludes.

According to police reports, Mohnish is accused of assaulting several residents and allegedly ripping out a chunk of one man's hair during the altercation. He then entered a car with his mother and rammed into the crowd, making multiple rounds on the premises. This reckless driving injured several people and fatally knocked down Shampa Pathak Pandey. CCTV footage from the scene has been seized by authorities to aid in the investigation.
