Previous incidents at Neemka Jail

Neemka Jail has been in the news previously for several serious incidents. In February, a terror suspect was murdered in a high-security ward. In March, boiling oil was thrown during a dispute between inmates, raising questions about the jail administration. The latest incident has once again brought the prison's security, surveillance, and administrative procedures under scrutiny.

The police have taken the body into custody and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the death. The family's allegations of custodial torture will also be probed as part of the inquiry.
