The Union Home Ministry announced on Sunday the prestigious President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service has been awarded to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Shantanu Kumar Singh, who is currently posted at Rajasthan's cyber crime wing in Jaipur. This recognition comes on the eve of Republic Day, highlighting his exceptional contributions to law enforcement.

Recognition for Cyber Crime Excellence and Innovative Methods

DIG Shantanu Kumar Singh is widely praised for his dedicated efforts in combating organised cyber frauds and for introducing innovative investigation and enforcement techniques that have significantly enhanced the state's cybersecurity framework. His work has set a benchmark in tackling digital crimes, making this award a testament to his leadership and expertise in the field.

Sixteen Officers Awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service

In addition to DIG Singh's honor, the Union Home Ministry has selected sixteen police officers and personnel for the Police Medal for Meritorious Service. This list includes two IPS officers, underscoring the high level of achievement recognized this Republic Day.
