According to police reports, Ali was walking through the busy grain market when the truck driver attempted to park the vehicle near a shop. In a tragic turn of events, the massive vehicle ran over the porter, crushing him to death. Bystanders and fellow workers immediately rushed to help, but the injuries proved fatal.

The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, but medical professionals pronounced him 'brought dead' upon arrival. Waseem Ali, who resided in Mohalla Mahawatan near Lal Haveli, had been working as a porter at Surajpol mandi to support his family.
