Jaipur traffic police have officially announced the comprehensive entry plan and parking arrangements for the upcoming state-level Republic Day celebrations scheduled at SMS Stadium on Monday. In a detailed advisory, authorities emphasized that all pass holders must prominently display their vehicle passes on the windscreen to gain entry, which will be strictly permitted only through designated gates as per the specified categories.
Entry and Parking Guidelines for Different Groups
The traffic police have outlined distinct entry points and parking zones to ensure smooth flow and organization during the event. The general public, along with parade contingents, students, and artists participating in cultural programmes, are directed to enter through the eastern gate accessible from Tonk Road. Their vehicles will be accommodated at the SMS Investment Ground located near Ambedkar Circle, providing a convenient and spacious parking area.
Pass Holder Categories and Their Designated Gates
For pass holders assigned to gates 18, 19, and 21, entry will be facilitated through the southern gate situated near the Vidhan Sabha. These individuals will have access to parking in specifically designated areas within the stadium premises, ensuring proximity to the event venue.
Similarly, pass holders for gates 2, 3, and 24 are instructed to use the northern gate on Bhawani Singh Road. Their parking has been arranged between parking gates 1 and 16 on Ring Road, offering a structured and easily accessible location.
Special Arrangements for Distinguished Guests
Distinguished guests and pass holders for gates 22 and 23 will enter through the western gate near the Youth Hostel. Except for VIP vehicles, which may have separate arrangements, parking will be permitted in designated areas on both sides of the stadium's main gate and in the vicinity of the Indoor Stadium, catering to the needs of honored attendees.
Traffic Diversions and Advisory
To manage the expected increase in vehicular movement, traffic on key roads including Bhawani Singh Road, Janpath, Tonk Road, and Pankaj Singhvi Marg will be diverted as and when required, as stated by the police. These measures aim to minimize congestion and ensure safety for all participants and residents.
Authorities urge all attendees to adhere strictly to these guidelines to facilitate a seamless and orderly Republic Day celebration. The traffic police will be deployed at strategic points to assist with navigation and enforcement of the plan.
