Jaisalmer Man Attacks 12-Year-Old Girl with Blade After Failed Abduction Attempt
A horrifying incident unfolded in Jaisalmer district on Saturday when a 50-year-old man brutally attacked a 12-year-old schoolgirl with a blade after she resisted his attempt to forcibly take her. The accused, identified as Bharat Bheel, targeted the minor in the Ramdevra area, leaving her with critical injuries.

According to police reports, the incident occurred while the girl was returning home from school. Bharat Bheel allegedly tried to abduct her, but when she resisted and attempted to free herself, he slashed her neck with a blade. Hearing her screams, nearby women rushed to the spot and intervened, rescuing the girl from further harm.
Medical Response and Investigation
The victim was initially taken to a local hospital but was later referred to Pokhran district hospital due to her critical condition. Ramdevra police ASI Daidan Singh and his team reached the scene promptly after receiving information. During the investigation, the girl revealed that the attacker had been stalking and harassing her for about a year and operated a shop in the neighbourhood.
Arrest and Legal Action
Based on the girl's statement and reports from her family members, the police detained Bharat Bheel.
