In a swift and decisive breakthrough, police in Balotra district have solved the Dhorimanna truck driver murder case, arresting two accused within just 24 hours of the incident, officials confirmed on Friday. The case, which involved a fatal altercation on the highway, was cracked using advanced digital investigation techniques, highlighting the growing role of technology in modern law enforcement.
Details of the Tragic Incident
The driver, identified as 45-year-old Vishnaram Prajapat from Isrol, was allegedly killed after a minor road dispute escalated into a violent chase and attack. According to the complaint filed by his brother Pokraram Prajapat, the incident began at the Dhorimanna intersection when Vishnaram honked at a motorcycle blocking the road. Although bystanders initially intervened to calm the situation, the accused later followed the truck and attacked him on the Sanchore road.
Investigators revealed that the accused chased the truck and struck the driver in the chest with a stone, causing his immediate death on the spot. This brutal act triggered widespread outrage, with villagers staging a dharna to demand swift arrests and compensation for the victim's family.

Police faced initial challenges, as they had only CCTV footage showing two youths on a motorcycle, making identification difficult. However, a critical digital trail emerged when an online payment at a local liquor shop helped trace the suspects. "We had only CCTV footage of two youths on a bike. The arrested individuals were identified as Deepak Kumar, aged 26 from Kotputli-Behrod, and Vishnaram, aged 23 from Sanchore. Both are delivery boys employed with an online courier company and were allegedly intoxicated at the time of the incident.
