Junagadh Police Busts Arms Racket, Nabs Three in Major Operation
In a significant crackdown, Junagadh Taluka Police has seized a dangerous consignment of weapons linked to the infamous Bangla gang. The operation unfolded in Sargwada village, located on the outskirts of Junagadh city.
Weapons and Arrests Detailed
Police officials confiscated five firearms during the raid. This haul included country-made pistols and a revolver. Authorities also recovered ninety-six live cartridges from the scene.
Three individuals have been taken into custody in connection with this case. The arrested persons are Kamlesh Rabari, aged forty-five, who runs a security service. Vishal Rabari, twenty-eight, works as a daily wage laborer. Jayesh, also known as Ebho Chavda, is twenty-eight and trades in cattle near Girnar Gate in Junagadh city.
Absconding Accused Identified
Meanwhile, four other suspects remain at large. Police are actively searching for Jaypal Badh, Bharat Badh, Bhavesh alias Bhavin Badh, and Jadav alias Lakho Hun. These individuals are believed to be key members of the Bangla gang.
Intelligence Leads to Raid
Ravirajsinh Parmar, the Deputy Superintendent of Police for Junagadh Rural, provided details about the operation. Inspector FB Gaganiya and his team acted on specific intelligence. They received information that Bhavin, Nilesh, and Jadav were hiding at Kamlesh Rabari's house in Sargwada.
These three men are already accused under the stringent Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime Act. Based on this tip-off, police forces swiftly raided the location.
Dramatic Capture and Escape
During the raid, officers successfully detained Kamlesh, Vishal, and Jayesh. However, Jaypal Badh and Bharat Badh managed to escape from the spot. A thorough search of Kamlesh's house followed, leading to the discovery of the hidden weapons cache.
During interrogation, Kamlesh revealed crucial information. He stated that the arms were procured on direct instructions from Bangla gang members Bhavin Badh and Lakho Hun. The court has already issued arrest warrants against all the accused in this case.
Previous Criminal Records Surface
Inspector Gaganiya shared further insights with the press. He confirmed that Vishal and Jaypal are already named as accused in an extortion case. This case is registered at the same Junagadh Taluka police station.
Bhavin Badh faces even more serious allegations. He is wanted in multiple serious offences registered across various locations in Junagadh district. Police records indicate a pattern of criminal activity.

A formal case has now been registered against seven named accused at the Junagadh Taluka police station. The investigation continues as authorities work to apprehend the remaining fugitives. This seizure represents a major blow to organized crime networks operating in the region.
